PLDT Enterprise launched the Lung Center of the Philippines' emergency OPD consultation number dedicated for COVID-19-related concerns and cases
Manila, Philippines [26 November 2020]– The Philippines' largest integrated telecommunications company PLDT, together with its B2B arm PLDT Enterprise and wireless subsidiary Smart Communications Inc., announces its partnership with the Office of the President to power its 8888 SMS Hotline.
This month, the Office of the President – through its Broadcast Messaging division - relaunched its 8888 SMS service platform as an additional communication channel to send and receive text messages on public complaints or grievances on acts of red tape or corruption in any government agency.
"We at PLDT and Smart fully support the government's efforts in addressing the concerns of our countrymen through this initiative and we would like to thank the Office of the President for their trust," said Al S. Panlilio, PLDT Chief Revenue Officer and Smart President and CEO.
With the partnership, PLDT and Smart will provide the SMS platform for the said hotline to support the government in attending to public's complaints. All Smart, Sun, and TNT subscribers can now reach the 8888 Complaint Hotline under the Office of the President via SMS free of charge.
The 8888 Citizens’ Complaint Center operates 24 hours, every day of the week to immediately respond to the concerns of Filipinos.
