For a microfinance institution serving communities across the country, reliable connectivity can make a direct difference in how quickly people receive assistance, complete transactions, and stay connected to the services they depend on.

Taytay sa Kauswagan Inc. (TSKI) is strengthening the digital backbone behind its nationwide operations through a partnership with PLDT Enterprise, supporting more efficient branch operations and helping the institution serve its members with greater consistency as it continues to grow.

TSKI, a leading Philippine microfinance institution committed to empowering underserved communities through accessible financial services, sought a technology partner as the demands of its expanding operations increased. Connectivity challenges across various locations had begun affecting communication, operational efficiency, and the delivery of services to members.

Through the partnership, PLDT Enterprise provides connectivity solutions designed to support TSKI's fixed and wireless requirements and help strengthen business continuity across its branch network. The collaboration is intended to enable high-speed and reliable branch connectivity, faster member transactions and communications, and more dependable day-to-day operations.

For TSKI, strengthening its digital infrastructure is ultimately about what happens beyond the technology itself: helping its people remain connected to the communities they serve.

“Connectivity becomes most meaningful when it helps organizations do more for the people they serve. Our partnership with TSKI is about giving its teams a stronger digital foundation so they can operate more efficiently, communicate more effectively, and continue extending accessible financial services to communities across the country,” said Javier C. Lagdameo, Vice President of Domestic Enterprise Group, PLDT Enterprise.

The partnership comes as the Philippine microfinance sector increasingly adopts digital technologies to improve efficiency and broaden financial inclusion, with institutions making greater use of cloud-based systems and mobile technologies, while reliable internet connectivity has become increasingly important for real-time branch operations and service delivery. Digital payments, cashless transactions, and SMS and other digital communications are also playing larger roles in how institutions engage customers.

These shifts are changing what financial inclusion looks like on the ground. For institutions such as TSKI, digital transformation is not simply about adopting new technology. It is about creating an operating environment that allows branches to respond faster, communicate more consistently, and continue reaching customers as expectations for convenient financial services evolve.

TSKI evaluated PLDT Enterprise and Smart as it looked for solutions capable of supporting its growing operational requirements, with nationwide network coverage, enterprise-grade connectivity, and comprehensive business communication solutions among the factors considered in the transition.

“As we continue growing, having dependable connectivity across our operations becomes increasingly important to the way we serve our members. This partnership helps us strengthen the infrastructure behind our branches so our teams can work more efficiently while we stay focused on expanding access to financial services for the communities that need them,” said Peter M. Montalban, President of TSKI. Together, PLDT Enterprise and TSKI aim to strengthen nationwide connectivity, support digital transformation, and enhance the delivery of financial services through reliable technology and meaningful innovation.

By helping TSKI build a more connected foundation for its expanding operations, PLDT Enterprise is supporting an organization whose technology needs are closely tied to a larger purpose: enabling more Filipino communities to participate in and benefit from accessible financial services.
