Manila, Philippines [20 July 2020]—With face-to-face classes temporarily postponed given the ongoing global pandemic, educational institutions have been busy ramping up solutions in administering online education for the upcoming academic year. Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu in Visayas is among the educational institutions leveraging on technology solutions to continue learning for its students during this time.

Sacred Heart School - Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-ADC) has recently partnered with PLDT Enterprise in its move toward providing digital education. With the tie-up, Ateneo de Cebu will employ Microsoft Education Suite, an e-Learning solution with educational tools that facilitate remote learning while allowing teachers to connect with their students both inside and outside school walls.

Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu obtained Microsoft Education licenses for the use of all their teachers and students. Through the Learning Management System (LMS), SHS-ADC will deliver instructional materials via SharePoint, Teams and mobile devices on the user-friendly Microsoft 365 platform, as well as hold classes in online classrooms. Teachers and students can also meet virtually using Microsoft Teams with access to the Office 365 collaboration and productivity apps.

In addition, SHS-ADC is working proactively to ensure the reliability of the student technology infrastructure and to make sure that the e-Learning initiatives will work for both students and faculty. SHS-ADC upgraded its campus connectivity by expanding their internet connectivity solutions, giving teachers who live near the campus easy access in using the school's facilities to provide online materials to their students.
