PLDT Enterprise, the corporate business arm of PLDT, is strengthening its growing partnership with 8x8, a global customer experience and communications platform provider, with SmartSafe SilentAccess—a mobile authentication solution designed to help businesses protect customers, eliminate fraud, and deliver smoother digital experiences across the Philippines.

The initiative marks a new phase in the collaboration between PLDT Enterprise and 8x8, following their existing partnership with the Smart Messaging Suite, the telco group’s Application-to-Person (A2P) solution. With SmartSafe SilentAccess now integrated into the 8x8 Connect platform, enterprises in the Philippines can access an additional layer of security that enables fast, seamless, and secure mobile user verification without relying on traditional one-time passwords (OTPs).

A Commitment to Enabling Domestic Aggregators

Leaders from PLDT Enterprise and 8x8 celebrate a milestone partnership that brings advanced mobile security capabilities to the 8x8 Connect platform through SmartSafe SilentAccess.

As a domestic aggregator, 8x8 provides communication and customer engagement platforms to businesses operating in the Philippines. Through its partnership, 8x8 can now embed SmartSafe SilentAccess into its CPaaS and customer experience solutions—giving its own customers access to telco-grade mobile authentication that supports fraud prevention, customer onboarding, and secure digital transactions.

Digital transactions and mobile interactions continue to rise across the country, and businesses are increasingly exposed to fraud, identity theft, and account takeovers. SmartSafe SilentAccess addresses this challenge by validating users through mobile network and SIM-based signals, allowing businesses to authenticate customers silently in the background—improving both security and customer experience at the same time.

Driving Safer Digital Transactions

“SmartSafe SilentAccess represents an important step forward in strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure,” said Armie Sason, Head of Key Industries Group 2 at PLDT Enterprise. “At PLDT Enterprise, our shared commitment with 8x8 is to deliver secure and seamless verification for millions of mobile users. Together, we are enabling enterprises to protect their customers, reduce fraud, and support the Philippines’ ongoing digital transformation.”

Leaders from PLDT Enterprise and 8x8 strengthen their partnership to champion mobile security through the integration of SmartSafe SilentAccess into the 8x8 Connect platform.

Sylvain Chaperon, General Manager, CPaaS, of 8x8 said the integration of SmartSafe SilentAccess strengthens the value the company delivers to its customers in the Philippines. “By integrating PLDT Enterprise’s SmartSafe SilentAccess into our 8x8 Connect platform, we are equipping businesses with a secure and seamless way to authenticate mobile users, helping them build trust with their customers while keeping digital interactions fast and convenient.”

Advancing Secure and Seamless Customer Experiences

SmartSafe SilentAccess is designed to support enterprises that rely on mobile channels for customer engagement, authentication, and transactions. By using operator-grade mobile network intelligence instead of SMS-based OTPs, businesses can strengthen security while improving customer satisfaction—making digital interactions both safer and easier.

Through its partnership, PLDT Enterprise continues to expand the reach of its mobile security and authentication technologies, ensuring that more businesses—and their customers—benefit from trusted, future-ready digital solutions.
