The exhibit was participated by the Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Agriculture - Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI), and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the region.

PLDT Enterprise enabled the first hybrid Bicol Tourism Expo, extending free connectivity to the exhibit that aims to provide opportunities for local businesses to explore new frontiers and new experiences in the tourism industry.

The group has extended 500Mbps of free connectivity during the event held at Capitol Convention Center in Pili, Camarines Sur, which was attended by several companies and institutions in the field of tourism.

These included the Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Agriculture - Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI), hotels, restaurants, and other small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the region.

The free connectivity enabled attendees to stay connected and be ensured of reliable internet to access and share information for the whole duration of the exhibit - its first hybrid expo after two years since the onset of the pandemic.

Likewise, PLDT Enterprise also showcased its portfolio of products and business solutions such as BEYOND FIBER, Multistore, Maya, and Smart BYOD plans limited offers which could help boost the recovery of the said sector.

Euan Rex D. Toralballa, Head Regional Luzon, said the group was honored to support the event and showcase the relevant solutions and offerings suited to boost the operations of enterprises and aid the recovery of the said sector.

"PLDT Enterprise has always been supportive of industries aiming to get back on their feet and recover their losses from the challenges of the pandemic. The connectivity solutions we showcased in the event could really help empower small-scale businesses as they adapt to the needs of tourists in the post-pandemic environment," said Toralballa.

As one of the industries heavily affected by the global pandemic, the Bicol Tourism Expo has given light to sustainable industry platforms made more resilient and adaptable in the new normal setting.

The Bicol Tourism Expo is an initiative of the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CSCCI).
