PLDT renews its commitment to be the trusted partner of businesses in navigating uncertainties to further grow in the post-pandemic era.

As the country continues to implement digital transformation among different industries, the B2B arm of the largest fully integrated telco in the country, PLDT Enterprise, partners with Ospital ng Parañaque District II (OsPar II) to build smart hospitals that would better optimize patient care and hospital operations and improve overall hospital resilience.
PLDT Enterprise will be providing OSPAR II with a Unified Communications platform to improve communication for all hospital personnel and patients. Data will also be used in all departments, especially in the Emergency Room and auxiliaries, to give health care providers easier access to real-time information, and ensure better patient experience.
PLDT’s wireless unit, Smart Communications Inc., will also provide signal boosters to keep connectivity at an optimum level–eliminating dead spots and improving overall quality of calls and data connectivity while in hospital premises.
“At PLDT, we have long envisioned a smart hospital like OsPar II that connects people, data, and technology in intelligent ways to improve operational efficiencies,” says Ronaldo David, PLDT Enterprise Business Head, LGU GMM. “OsPar II is now a manifestation of that vision, delivering clinical excellence and creating a seamless patient experience within and beyond the hospital. This wouldn’t be possible without the collaboration and trust of Mayor Olivarez and the OsPar II management team so we may develop and implement a roadmap to digital maturity.”
OsPar II, a level one hospital, was built at the height of the pandemic initially as an isolation facility and a COVID-19 vaccination site. Now, it welcomes an average foot traffic of 500 daily, this includes inpatients, outpatients, their companions, and hospital staff.
“What we are seeing now is that patients are becoming more informed and smarter about their care, so hospitals need to adapt and transform,” shares Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez. “With all these digital solutions from PLDT, we are confident that we can increase business efficiency allowing us to provide more efficient health services for patients.”
