Hong Kong — PLDT—through its international sales, marketing, and operating arms PLDT Global Enterprise and PLDT Hong Kong Limited—fortifies its partnership with Hong Kong Broadband Network Enterprise Solutions (HKBNES) to support PLDT’s large bandwidth backhaul services in Hong Kong. The partnership upgrades PLDT’s premium internet, increasing the company’s productivity in the city.

HKBNES is one of PLDT’s fastest-growing partners in the Asia Pacific region—aiming to expand particularly in the Philippines, where demand for interconnection from Hong Kong and China-content companies continues to rise.

“We’re excited about the partnership with HKBNES as we further mutually expand our network and market reach in APAC and the rest of the world. This also serves as a testament of the robust support we give to our Enterprise clients on their Global ICT roadmap,” said PLDT Enterprise Asia Pacific Regional Head Jeff Mendoza.

HKBNES is part of HKBN Group. HKBN Group is Hong Kong’s largest provider of residential high-speed fibre broadband services, and a fast growing enterprise solutions provider. It offers a full range of telecommunications solutions for both the residential and enterprise markets, encompassing broadband, mobile services, voice communications, cloud solutions, data facilities and system integration.

The partnership is hinged on China’s Belt and Road Initiative, which improves connectivity between China and the Asia Pacific region. The influx of investments from China-based companies—particularly from the manufacturing sector, banking and finance institutions, tourism industry, and tech start-ups—have contributed to the increasing demand for end-to-end ICT requirements.

“This is indeed a big day for us as we officially seal our partnership with the Philippines’ leading ICT and digital services provider. PLDT has always been one of our most reliable partners, and this deal further cements our end-goal of providing superb connectivity from Hong Kong to the world,” said HKBNES COO Billy Yeung.
